Over the past decades, there have been many successful and important sensor solutions from Temposonics. Some are still even in usage in applications all around the world.
However, Temposonics has always been a company that thinks ahead and so it is only naturally that new sensor solutions have been developed to keep pushing the boundaries and make the sensors even more suitable for any application.
This continuous development of new sensors means that older sensors are not manufactured anymore and those are given a legacy status, meaning that they are not produced but are still installed in certain machines or systems. In the tables below, all legacy products are listed, so that if your need certain information about a specific sensor, you can download it from here.
MH-Series COMPACT (MS) Position Sensors
Temposonics® MH-Series model COMPACT (MS) magnetostrictive position sensors are designed for direct stroke measurement in hydraulic cylinders with bore diameters of 28 mm or greater.
- Designed for full sealing and embedding in hydraulic cylinders
- The proprietary M12 connector system is featured to enable IP69K
- Can be installed from the head- or the rod-side depending on the cylinder design
- Outputs: Analog, CANbus

MH-Series FLEX Safety Position Sensors
Temposonics® MH-Series FLEX Safety position sensors measure the absolute position of hydraulic cylinders in mobile applications. It is extremely rugged and uses magnetostriction technology.

- A key aspect of the FLEX Safety’s serviceability is its innovative modular design consisting of an outer housing, electronic module, and featuring Temposonics’ SMART Sensing Element (SE). It combines our patented flexible sensing element with integrated memory and allows for seamless interoperability between any SMART SE and FLEX Safety electronic module.
- The sensor design allows servicing the position sensor without breaking the hydraulic seal on the cylinder. The sensor is designed for the outer housing to be externally threaded into the cylinder keeping the field serviceable electronic module and SMART SE accessible from outside the cylinder.
- The SMART SE can bend around obstructions from other machine components requiring only 200 mm of clearance for removal regardless of stroke length.
- The 10.5 meter long SMART SE can be coiled and shipped economically.
- Available with CANopen Safety and J1939-76 outputs for easy integration with a safety compliant control system
