Application area
VEGASOURCE 84 is used for safe reception of a gamma emitter which is used as a radiation source for radiation-based level, density, mass flow and level measurements. The radiation is emitted undamped only in one defined direction. VEGASOURCE 84 reliably shields the environment against gamma radiation in all other directions.

The sensor is also suitable for the detection of bulk solids in small vessels or silos. Application areas can be found in all industries. The non-contact measuring principle is unaffected by product features and allows a setup without medium.
For this instrument, new radar sensors with connection housing VEGAPULS 11, 21 or 31, or radar sensors with fixed connected cable VEGAPULS C 11, C 21, C 22 or C 23 are available as alternative.
