The temperature change is transmitted to a bimetal kinematics via the fitting. When the switching temperature is reached, the temperature switch is activated.
Using compression fittings, mounting and removing temperature probes is easy. Another advantage is the variable insertion lengths. Different materials and threads can be selected for the combination with different protection tube diameters.
Dial thermometers with microswitch are universally-applicable devices with actual value display for temperature measurement, control, and monitoring. The devices have a temperature controller with actual value display and are manufactured using high-grade stainless steel.
To prevent thermoelectric voltage in the connection between the thermocouple and compensating cable, the contacts for the plug connections and the thermocouple should be made from the same material. Accordingly, non-thermoelectric voltage plug connections with different contacts are available.
DIN EN 50446 defines the terminal head design types A and B, which differ in size and also slightly in their shape. Aluminum or plastic is used, depending on the application. These design types are suitable for the installation of a two-wire transmitter.
Thermocouples are designed as replacement elements for thermocouples according to DIN 43733. Alternatively, for special applications the thermocouples can be used to measure temperature directly.
